Workshop app — money & settings
Alignment machines
Connect alignment brands, test the link, and register machines at each workshop site.
Alignment machines connect wheel alignment systems used in your workshops so results can flow into TreadOS instead of living only on the alignment console. Open Settings → Alignment machines.
You can still upload alignment reports and enter results by hand when a brand is not connected, or when a bay is offline. Connection is optional — it should make busy days faster, not block work.
Enable a brand
- Find the brand card for the system you use.
- Tick Use … with this company and complete any connection fields the brand requires (workshop identifiers and passwords as labelled on the form).
- Save, then use Test connection before relying on the link in production.
Treat brand passwords like any other workshop secret: enter them only on this page, never share them in email or chat, and change them if a vendor relationship ends.
Machines at your workshops
After a brand is enabled, register each physical machine:
- Brand — which connected system it belongs to.
- Workshop — which site / bay location owns the machine (important for multi-site companies).
- Machine name — a plain label staff recognise, for example “Bay 2 rack”.
- Machine ID — the identifier from the alignment equipment when the brand needs it.
- Active — turn off machines that are retired without deleting history.
How this fits daily work
Alignment results still belong on the vehicle and job story. Customer reminders for due alignments are configured separately under Customer reminders & text messages. Connecting a machine does not replace keeping last-alignment dates current on the vehicle record.
