Job settings & tread alerts

Job settings control how mobile inspection jobs read when they land in the workshop, and how far ahead tread-forecast alerts should warn your team.

Manager summary wording

• Default wording length sets how verbose the auto-generated job narrative is when a mobile job first arrives. Managers can still change length when regenerating text on an individual job.
• Optional style notes give the AI plain-language guidance — for example “keep it direct” or “mention urgent replacements first”. Style notes cannot invent facts or override recorded measurements.
• Use Test wording with sample fitter notes before saving if you want to preview the tone.

Only the account master can change these defaults.

Tyre tread forecast alerts

Set how many days and how much distance before minimum tread should trigger warnings in the alert inbox, tread-forecast list, vehicle wheel maps, and customer portal “coming up” panels. Distances are stored in kilometres but displayed in your workshop distance unit.

Customer-level overrides still win when set; blank customer fields mean “use the workshop default from this page”.
