How to build a truck tyre position chart

Choose the axle layout that matches the vehicle — 4x2, 6x4, 8x4, truck & trailer, B-train or road train — or build a custom layout axle by axle. Each wheel location is shown left and right of the centre line, with inner and outer tyres on dual positions, exactly like a printed position tag. Tap any tyre to record its condition and whole-millimetre tread depth, then print a clean wheel position diagram for your service report or tyre audit.

Layout codes count wheel locations, not individual tyres: a dual-tyre side is still one location. A 6x4 has six wheel locations with four driving; an 8x4 adds a second steer axle.

Frequently asked questions

What does 6x4 mean on a truck?
It counts wheel locations, not individual tyres: six locations in total (usually three axles) with four of them driving. A dual-tyre side still counts as one location.
Can I map a truck and trailer or a B-train?
Yes. Choose the truck & trailer, B-train or road train preset, or add trailer units in the custom builder — each unit prints as its own wheel map.
Is the wheel map free to print?
Yes. The mapper runs in your browser and prints or saves to PDF for free. Nothing you enter is uploaded or stored.

Stop redrawing wheel maps by hand

TreadOS stores tyre positions, movements, and full history automatically — every map stays attached to the vehicle, ready for the next inspection.
